Ice cream soiree...

Is it just me or does everyone get just a hint of whimsey when they hear the sounds of Greensleaves playing in the distance on a summers day.

I remember running to the window hoping that the music was getting louder & the van inching closer..."please, please come down my street!" After begging mum for an ice cream we'd run outside and hang at Mr Whippy's window gingerly eyeing the menu...what to have! what to have! My brother and I would inevitably decide on a traditional blend of soft serve, chocolate and flake... To this day I am not sure what was better, the ice cream or the excitement of the Mr Whippy experience...

This feeling of whimsey, indulgence and excitement was what Mia and I were hoping to recreate with our icecream soiree for a lovely little lady named Lola on her first birthday...

With a colour palette of light blue, cherry red and light pink, we created two tables, one a DIY ice cream bar and the other hosting the party food and cake (thank you Hello Naomi for such a fabulous cake creation). Using many products featured in our shop www.bonbonboutique.com.au  as well as a DIY bunting & striped awning we were able to create a fun and interactive space for children and adults alike.
