Party Flair at Confetti Fair

A room wall to wall with delicate decorations, sparkles and frills, decadant desserts, brights and pastels and props in all styles and sizes. Alice in Wonderland you say? Not quite but just as magical! We were lucky enough to be a part of the first Confetti Fair which was held in Sydney on the weekend just been. The hall was transformed from a completely bare and uninspiring room to a space illuminated with creativity with event exhibtors including retailers, stylists, hire companies, bakers...SO MANY CAKES (worst month to be having off sugar! total torture), printables and the like.

Was so lovely to meet all the fellow exhibtors, customers and followers face to face. We went home tickled pink with your kind words and loyality to us. So thank you.

Here are a few little snaps of our stand at the fair....

But WAIT! Before I leave you with these I must praise Suzie Hatherly who provided us with the exquisite flowers. They were exactly what we were hoping for and just incredible. Should you wish for flowers as beautiful as this, please contact us and we will pass on her details.

Glass domes...The fabulous touch

Looking for a touch of fabulous for your party, table, or any interior or exterior setting?

Simple glass domes (aka cloche or bell jar) are incredibly versatile and can make the most basic of things look exceptionally fabulous! A simple cheese table, first birthday, elegant wedding table decor, on the hallway stand, outdoor table, used a hamper gift ‘basket’ or of course the traditional terrarium... you will be sure to get good use out of this household accessory. Not only do they look pretty they can be used for the practical sense... to protect and show off your foods or ornaments, trinkets or anything important to you or of course for the green thumbs.

No wonder they are the all rage at the moment!!

Though, it can be puzzling as to how to use them. Possibly because the options are endless! So here I have gathered together a bunch of images to share some ideas and inspire!

Retro cherry party

Who doesnt like a retro milk bar!? This is such a sweet theme and one that I have not seen before.

The party featured below is a 50s inpired Retro Cherry Birthday Party styled by Love the Day, who have the gorgeous printables instore - Retro Cherry Printable Collection.

Though this one was lucky enough to be hosted in a traditional milk bar, I quickly discovered that the theme is actually not that hard to put together at home.  In fact, I just kept finding more and more in our store that was perfect for a retro cherry party! Have a peek below...

Rustic farm party

For a couple of city slickers all we ever really dream about is a slice of the good life...you know, a chook or two, maybe a cow and of course a lovely veggie patch! Couple this with the birthday girl's, Willow, obsession with animals it is little wonder we were inspired to host a barnyard party! A touch of country living on the coast.

With a few essenitals we went about creating a farm scene in Sydney's Northern beaches:

  • Mini picnic baskets - Check
  • Baby animal farm (Kindifarm)- Check
  • Hay bales - Check
  • Apple themed party accessories - Check

The best part of this "rustic"theme was being able to mix and match colours, patterns and fabrics with carless abandon. It wasn't perfect and it didn't need to be..what it was was a cracking good time for both kidlets and adults alike.

We have had some lovely feedback from inspired customers who saw the party featured in Shop 4 Kids magazine.... Have a look at some of the images below and if you feel inspired be sure to check out our store for the farm party products.
